This Narrative Reflection inspird by story #216, invites you to name a dream you are still carrying, even if it has been delayed or tested by circumstance. It encourages you to recognise what you already have to support it, and to take one meaningful step toward bringing it into reality.

Set aside ten quiet minutes and begin.

What is a Narrative Reflection?

Narrative Reflections are guided prompts drawn from real stories shared across our global community.

They invite you to reflect on what the story reveals in your own life, and to take one deliberate step toward the story you want to live.

They are simple, but not surface-level. Practised consistently, they reshape how you understand your past, respond in the present, and step into your future.

1.  Take your journal (or a blank page)

Complete this phrase. Let yourself be bold, even if it feels beyond reach:

The dream I want to hold on to is …

2.  Continue writing.  Ask yourself ...

  • What do I already have to help me
  • (qualities, resources, experience)?
  • What is one next step I can take now?
  • What signs will show me I am moving closer?
  • Who can I call on to support me in making this dream real?

3.  Make it Visible ...

Create a simple vision board --a page filled with images, words, or symbols that represent your dream and the steps that will carry you there. Place it somewhere you will see often, as a reminder of the story you are growing into.
