What Happens When You Share Your Story
Get inspired by real people who shared their stories and discover what changed for them — from confidence and connection to unexpected opportunities.
When someone shares their story, there is always a shift.
For some, sharing their story meant being truly seen and heard for the very first time. They had a lift in confidence, in themselves, their message, their project, or their purpose… whatever it was they felt called to share.
For others, there was a release. A healing. A letting go of hurts and old unhelpful stories.
Still others discovered something new about themselves… seeing how strong they really are, or how far they’ve come.
And sometimes, it moved beyond the personal.
Some of our storytellers have gone on to publish their stories in anthologies. Others have been recognised through awards or invited to share their voice more widely. Some have raised funds for charities and supported their communities.
We asked a few of our storytellers to share their personal experience. We asked them what happened after their story was published, how they were impacted, and what opportunities arose from the simple act of sharing their story.
Because when you share your story, something almost magical moves. A release from inside to out. Your words carry energy. That energy doesn’t stay still. It moves within you, and it ripples out into the world.
Here is a sampling of those who chose to share their story and were impacted in some way. Not just in themselves… but in the world around them.
Here are their experiences:
