About the Storyteller
My name is Liam. I have been battling a life changing illness that left me suddenly paralysed and unable to talk, but I’m now defying the odds and learning to walk again. Thank you for reading my story - it means more than you know.
If sharing what I’ve been through can help someone else with FND feel less alone, or help others understand it better, then I know it’s worth it.
What Happened After Sharing His Story
How did you feel when you were first invited to share your story?
I felt very welcomed by Daily Inspired Life to share my story. They gave me a voice to share my story when once I didn’t have one due to my FND.
Describe any personal benefits sharing your story has brought you:
It’s given me a platform, it’s given me support and love from people I don’t even know. It’s made me feel recognised for my achievements.
What was the greatest challenge you had sharing your story?
I didn’t really have any challenges sharing my story but it did make me reflect about my journey and how far I’ve come.
Were you helped in any way by the process the DIL team used to help develop your story? If so, can you tell us how?
Karletta Marie gave me tips about how to word my story and supported me through the whole process.
Did sharing help you understand yourself more deeply? What were your greatest lessons?
That I’ve got a voice and I’m going to use it to raise awareness and continue to share my story.
Did you enjoy the response you received from others in relation to your story? How So?
I enjoyed reading all the comments and loved seeing my story on the Daily Inspired Life website platform.
Did sharing your story have an impact on others in anyway?
It gave people an insight into living with FND and shows them the life changing impact it can have.
Would you recommend others share their story?
Definitely! Daily inspired life is a wonderful way to share your story and be heard by an audience who are very supportive and interested in real life stories.
