My name is Cecil Bruce Doku, and I am from Ghana. I will be turning 33 this July.
I am the only child of my parents. Professionally, I work as a freight forwarder at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.

How did you feel when you were first invited to share your story?
I felt very excited
Describe any personal benefits sharing your story has brought you:
Sharing my story brought me a lot of happiness, seeing a write up about the life journey of my father and I is amazing.
What was the greatest challenge you had sharing your story?
I am a bit shy. When I came across the page,I was a bit nervous. I didn't know how to go about it.
Were you helped in any way by the process the DIL team used to help develop your story? If so, can you tell us how?
Yes they asked me a few things in my story. I was sent a couple of questions to answer.
Did sharing help you understand yourself more deeply?
Yes, I think it did.
Did you enjoy the response you received from others in relation to your story? How So?
Of course I did. When I saw the comments and how they appreciated my dad's effort, I felt very happy that at least his kindness will be recognized.
Did sharing your story have an impact on others in anyway?
Oh yeah. No matter how you find yourself you can still be kind. You don't necessarily have to have plenty money before you show kindness.
Would you recommend others share their story?
Oh yeah I will. People need to hear stories to shape their lives well. You'll never know how your story can touch someone's life which might be a blessing to you.
Anything else you'd like to share with the community?
Yes. Be kind to people so that the universe will be kind to you.
